屏科大生物機電工程系榮獲教育部學海築夢計畫補助,陳志堅教授帶領大四學生:王譽達、林中斌、謝閔凱與黃暐哲全額補助赴泰國農業大學Kasetsart University海外實習

為了提升師生的國際視野和擴展學術專業知識與技能,教育部112年的「學海築夢計畫」提供了國立屏東科技大學生物機電工程系學生赴海外實習的機會。屏科大生機系教授陳志堅順利申請教育部和本校的經費補助,由計畫主持人陳志堅教授帶領大四學生:王譽達、林中斌、謝閔凱與黃暐哲等四位前往泰國農業大學(Kasetsart University,下述簡稱KU)物理系Puchong Kijamnajsuk助理教授實驗室進行為期兩個月的專業技能實習,執行「泰國農業大學Kasetsart University光機電技術整合實習計畫-可攜式快速農產品檢測裝置開發」的計畫。感謝此計畫中師生能獲得全額的補助,讓學生們得以實現「學海築夢」,7月2日啟程KU執行計畫。

To enhance the international vision of teachers and students and expand academic and professional knowledge and skills, the Ministry of Education’s 112-year “Overseas Internship Program” provides students from the Department of Biomechatronics Engineering of the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology with the opportunity to go overseas for internships. Professor Chen, Jyh-Jian successfully applied for financial subsidies from the Ministry of Education and NPUST. The project host, Professor Chen, Jyh-Jian, led four senior students: Wang, Yu-Ta, Hsieh, Min-Kai, Lin, Zhong-Bin and Huang, Wei-Che, to the laboratory of Assistant Professor Puchong Kijamnajsuk at the Department of Physics of Kasetsart University (abbreviated as KU), Thailand for a two-month professional skills internship and implemented the plan of “Opto-Mechanical-Electrical Technology Integration Internship Program of Kasetsart University of Thailand-Development of Portable Rapid Agricultural Products Inspection Device”. Thanks to teachers and students in this project for receiving total subsidies so that students can realize “learning from the sea and building dreams” and departed to KU on July 2nd to implement the project.

泰國農業大學是泰國歷史悠久且規模最大的農業大學。KU和屏科大兩校也已簽訂合作協議至今將近30年,雙方實質交流積極頻繁,在專業領域的理論和專業技能的提升對雙方而言都有明顯的助益。兩校都認同,透過如此的系所雙方之間的互動交流,能夠深化彼此間的農業特長且能聚焦到更深的技術領域,此為締結為姐妹校中深度合作的極佳範例。

Kasetsart University is the oldest and largest agricultural university in Thailand. KU and NPUST have also signed a cooperation agreement for nearly 30 years. The two sides have actively and frequently communicated with each other. Improving theory and professional skills in the professional field is beneficial to both parties. Both schools agree that through the interaction between the two departments, they can deepen each other’s agricultural expertise and focus on deeper technical fields. It is an excellent example of in-depth cooperation between sister schools.

KU與屏科大兩校能夠奠定如此深厚的情誼,一開始是先從兩校教師們之間的互動交流開始進展,雙方交互往來參與學術研討和教育參訪,然後進展到學生交換實習,接著再擴大到簽署兩校的具體的合作備忘,這是屏科大紮實的雙邊交流模式。

KU and NPUST can establish such a deep friendship. Initially, it started from the interaction between the teachers of the two schools. Expanding to signing a specific memorandum of cooperation between the two universities, this is a solid bilateral exchange model for NPUST.

107年6月1日起本校本系陳志堅教授與KU開啟了國際學術合作和師生交流,透過「屏科大高等教育深耕計畫之跨國研究先導計畫專案計畫」、「University Network for Tropical Agriculture(UNTA)計畫」、簽訂合作備忘錄(memorandum of understanding,縮寫MOU)、「強化與東協及南亞國家合作交流學術型領域聯盟(工程領域)計畫」、「108年國立屏東科技大學鼓勵教師研究推動任務導向計畫」、「University Network for Tropical Agriculture(UNTA)回訪計畫」和共同發表論文於「2020 Asian Conference on Engineering and Natural Sciences(ACENS) 」等等不同型態的共好合作模式,持續開展包含學術合作、師生互訪、共同發表、學生交換實習等等各種面向的合作機制。

On June 1st, 2017, Professor Chen and KU started international academic cooperation and teacher-student exchanges. The model continues to carry out various oriented cooperation mechanisms, including academic collaboration, mutual visits between teachers and students, joint publications, student exchange and internships, etc.

此次到泰國KU科學學院研究的主題-The portable rapid detection device developed for disease and gene testing assist based on IoT application in Livestock Farming-是目前KU和本系所擬定的共同目標。其中有一部份,關於可攜式病原體核酸檢測技術,也開啟了2023年屏科大生機系師生海外實質的交流活動。因為智慧農業的需求日益遽增,由於傳染性病毒變異太快,末端管控於事無補,一切都要從源頭預防。禽畜場內舉凡溫度、濕度、氨氣濃度、二氧化碳濃度、飼料、水質及進食量等,整個環境與狀況評估,都要無微不至的智慧科技來監控、發現問題與解決問題。若能隨時監視動物的體溫,觀察動物的活動力,將有助於預防動物生病的傳染。在此計畫中,計畫主持人擬定目標為–整合無線感測技術、影像處理技術和物聯網技術等,提出並試圖開發出一套禽畜場動物健康自動的檢測系統,希望兩校雙方的師生都能藉由此兩個月的學海築夢計畫,在期間能持續不間斷的、面對面的互動探索、且深入研究範圍的多次研討活動中,能獲得更多相關技術和知識的提升與擴展,達到教育部和本校的預期學術交流的實質成效。

The subject of this study at the Faculty of Science of KU in Thailand – The portable rapid detection device developed for disease and gene testing assistance based on IoT application in Livestock Farming – is the common goal KU and this department proposed. Part of it, regarding the portable pathogen nucleic acid detection technology, also started the 2023 overseas substantive exchange activities between teachers and students of the Department of Biomechatronics Engineering of NPUST. Because the demand for smart agriculture is increasing daily and because the infectious virus mutates too quickly, end control will not help, and it is vital to prevent pathogen infection during its incubation period. In this project, the planned host proposed integrating wireless sensing technology, image processing technology, Internet of Things technology, etc., and offered and tried to develop an automatic detection system for animal health in poultry farms. Teachers and students on both sides can use the two-month “Overseas Internship Program” to acquire more relevant technologies during the continuous, face-to-face interactive exploration and multiple seminars with in-depth research scope. The improvement and expansion of knowledge will achieve the substantial effect of academic exchanges expected by the Ministry of Education and NPUST.
